Another custom staircase design from Bella Stairs is being featured in this high-end residential home. In a collaboration with Cuesta Construction, this new construction home designed by KZ Architecture features a streamline, linear staircase surrounded by floor to ceiling windows. There are 3 hidden anchor points on this staircase. Two hidden anchor points are on the top left and a third hidden stringer is on the right, resulting in the illusion of a floating staircase. Truly an engineering masterpiece!
Floating over a rock garden is a custom painted steel center-beam structure. Featuring white oak treads with closed riser and laminated glass inlay railings. Our custom design suited this modernized home perfectly. As you ascend up the white oak treads, you are met with clear glass inlay railings to your left and ten foot high floor to wall windows to your right. Squared stainless steel clamps anchored the laminated glass inlay panels to each custom painted steel post, and a stainless steel handrail was seamlessly top mounted.
The glass inlay railings continue up along the staircase. On the second floor, a glass guardrail was also installed with a wooden wall partition. The wood on the wall partition was chosen to match the wooden treads, tying in all of these design elements together beautifully.
